What is this? Big-brain stuff?
Hello there! Hope you are cozy, because this might take a while.
I will try to start this off with a short elevator pitch so you can decide if I am worth your time here. I have poured my heart and soul into this and appreciate everyone making the effort to follow along!
So what exactly are NFTXTgames?
The idea is to have the #NFTcommunity collectively play a version of those cozy, old-school text-based adventure games of the past. But this time, the entire game, player input and game output, will be self-contained within the NFTs.
The NFTs contain the sequentially published game screens created by the game engine. The game engine is my brain and will adapt to the input of the playerbase in ways a traditional game engine never could before.
This means the game can be played without any external frontend or UI involved, fully on the blockchain and leveraged by social media. Anyone with a Metamask and a Twitter account can participate in guiding the outcome of the game.
Receiving the game screen NFT will allow the owner to make the next choice for the character, meaning the community takes turns in playing a single game, unfolding for all to watch as the decisions get made and the main story arch progresses.

Creating a text-based adventure mystery and actually making it a game someday (#learntocode) was always a dream of mine. But I am first and foremost a creative mind and trying to learn how to read the freakin’ Matrix in some new programming language made procrastination easy - until now. Enter the NFT community…
Using said creative mind, I figured who needs a game engine, if NFTs and their utility actually enables you to become a sort of game master and play a game that is actually morphing a rough plot outline into something dynamically evolving with the game choices of the community.
Not having to learn how to code or make a traditional game enabled me to immediately go deep into crafting a Crypto/NFT-flavored mystery story. I have reached a point now where I am confident I have a narrative complete with twists and turns, puzzles, riddles, “mini-games”, eastereggs, and a satisfying, pre-planned, yet also very flexible ending.
Maybe the result can be best described as an interactive, periodically published text adventure featuring puzzle-solving, clue-finding, narrative-driven gameplay. This is further combined with a collectible element (more on that in a later post) and all wrapped inside a pre-planned, well thought out main story arch full of mysteries and adventures along the way.
Now, all that is needed is for someone to pick up what I am putting down here. Because this definitely needs a certain critical mass first to work and be fun for everyone involved.
